Myriam Scanlon Bolger

Originally from Co. Sligo, I moved to Wexford in 2014.  

 

I worked with the National Training and Employment Authority for twenty-five years at both operational and managerial level. My experience of assisting people at all stages of life achieve their desired careers by directing them to the training, education and upskilling and other supports they required to achieve it, was invaluable.  I have worked with employers to recruit the right people and with community based employment schemes.  I have managed large scale recruitment campaigns for company start-up and a transnational employment visa programme to the US. As a manager I oversaw the professionalisation of this service to a qualified Careers Counselling Service.

I have lectured within the higher and further education sectors on a part time basis and am familiar with the entry routes and progression paths to college.

In recent years, since taking early retirement from the Public Service, I have worked as a consultant for state recruitment campaigns and as an external authentication for further education. 

​

I have a fundamental belief that all people have the right to reach their potential.  I would hope that my life’s experience might allow me to assist others in that endeavour.
